From formulation development, to lab scale, to scale up batches, to commercial, process development process optimization, validation, and clinical trials (blinding / masking of vials and packaging). Accompanied with performing special stability studies for products that are temperature, light, or oxygen sensitive, accurate dosing studies; in addition to DOEs and FMEAs.

HPI batch sizes up to 2200-L and fill volumes of 0.3-mL to 1000-mL.

With our experienced staff, Horizon also offers robust collaborative capabilities in formulation and process development, and analytical Micro laboratory and testing services independent of those supporting our Blow, Fill and Seal manufacturing.

Noted for our flexibility and expertise, Horizon Pharmaceuticals Inc. can expand from our existing three class 10,000 (ISO Class 7) cleanroom capability, by using portable expandable cleanrooms to grow with our customer's needs.

BFS technology has a long history of reliability. Horizon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has adopted the just-in-time manufacturing process. This eliminates the need for costly storage of conventional containers. By combining the inherent reliability and flexibility of the BFS process and the just-in-time manufacturing process, Horizon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. can deliver your product in a package of your choosing and on time. All this with the added benefit of cost savings passed on to you, our customer.

Team:

One area of continued concern for partners is the excessive time and cost for production tooling. Horizon keeps all of functions in-house to control costs and meet schedules. Our team is a unique combination of Blow-Fill-Seal mold design and fabrication experts as well as product formulation and development experts.

Capacity:

We have 2 sites containing over 65,000 square feet of floor space. As a result we currently have the capacity to dedicate to new projects that will be supported by the decades of experience within our product development, logistics, manufacturing and quality organizations.
