Microbiologist.
Performs microbiological testing in compliance with written test methods and procedures. Participates in activities such as environmental monitoring, media fills, microbiological and chemical sampling of utilities and services. Performs scheduled data analysis, archiving and trending of results. The Microbiologist isolates, identifies and studies microorganisms and their byproducts in order to evaluate their applications to the pharmaceutical industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
Microbiological Quality Control analysis of WFI, Raw Materials, Work In Process, and Finished Goods samples
Primary personnel in performing Sterility testing
Perform QC analysis for Bioburden, Bacterial Endotoxin and Microbial Load, etc.
Responsible for data reporting and review, SOP / STM generation and review, method development and stability protocols
Assist in Out of Specification / Sterility investigations
Component testing and release
Assist in validations
Lead and direct the work of Environmental Monitoring Technician
Trending and performing Gram Stain analysis of bacterial isolates
Internal Audits as assigned by QA
Job Requirements:
Excellent communication skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Professional appearance and conduct
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Familiarity with the fields concepts, practices and procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
ISO 13485:2003 Internal Auditor (training to be performed within 3 months of hire date)
Required Education/Experience/Training:
Preferred candidate will have a bachelors degree (Biological Sciences or related field)
Minimum 1 3 years in a pharmaceutical laboratory
